Greetings, Members!
It was a busy summer…
Muscatine County Freedom Rock Smorgasbord: Monday, September 4 (Labor Day) was a hot one, but we survived! Everyone enjoyed the meal and the water hose fights, and the winners were thrilled with their prizes. Here is Myrtle Fuller, who won the grand prize, a patio set with fire pit.
Fall City-Wide Garage Sale: Saturday, September 9, was City-Wide Garage Sale Day, with 21 registrants and many more hopping onto the garage sale train. Great day to get people to Wilton!
Founders Day 2023: August 18 – 20 was an extravaganza! Everyone loved the shake-up! We had inflatables and an earlier parade complete with the WHS marching band as well as bagpipes, which everyone enjoyed.
Teacher Welcome Luncheon 2023: On August 17, we hosted a luncheon to welcome the teachers for the new school year and thank them for all they do.
Coming up this fall…
Trunk-or-Treat Halloween Party: Tuesday, October 31, 3:30-5:30, is the Halloween party for all kids, downtown on Cedar and Maurer Streets. This is right before citywide Trick-or-Treating at 5:30-7 pm. We will have a Haunted House in the Young Life building, a hot dog roast at Elder Park, and lots of candy!
Small Business Saturday: Saturday, November 25, is Small Business Saturday. We will distribute buckets where customers can place their names if they make a purchase on that day, which will enter them into a drawing for Chamber Bucks prizes. Please let us know if you want to offer specials that day and have a bucket at your business.
Winter is coming…
Window Walk: Get ready for Window Walk 2023, which will be Sunday, December 3, 5-7 pm. In addition to Santa, there will be a Christmas train ride!
