The Wilton Chamber Of Commerce is adding a new event to their Christmas activities scheduled for Sunday, December 4, 2016.  They are sponsoring a lighting contest with a deadline of Monday, November 28th to be included in the contest.  If this is something you’d like to do, please let the Chamber office know your name and address (563-732-2330) or email (wiltoncc@netwtc.net).  They will be judged the night of December 4th and the winners will receive chamber gift certificates.

The Retail Trade committee of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce is planning their annual Christmas activities for Sunday, December 4, 2016.  There will a parade for Santa and Mrs. Claus’s entrance to Wilton.  They will be available to visit with area children from 5:15 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the old Library Bldg. – 106 E. 4th St.). The Window Walk will be held 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. and area businesses, groups & individuals are encouraged to participate.  There are forms available at the Chamber office!

Trick-or-treat in Wilton is scheduled for October 31st,  5:30-7p

The United Way of Wilton will be kicking off their 2016-2017 Campaign in October.  Once again we will be doing a mailing for both Wilton and Moscow residents and the rural Wilton School District areas.  Please watch your mail for this information.  The success of the campaign depends on you for reaching the goal.  Also enclosed you will find a receipt listing the organizations receiving funds from this campaign.  There are 19 organizations that depend on the United Way of Wilton to keep their programs afloat!  

Friday, August 26, 2016:

The 36th annual wilton founders day celebration will be held friday and saturday, august 26th & 27th in downtown wilton!

The carnival will be superior equipment.  Advanced tickets can be purchased up until 4 p.M. On friday from community bank, cbi bank & trust and the chamber office.    

The Wilton Community Development Association will be holding a flag raising ceremony on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. out by the Wilton Electronic sign on the West side of Wilton.  They are very proud to present this 50 foot flagpole and flag to the Community of Wilton.  The American Legion will be there to do the raising of the flag along with more Wilton residents helping to make it a great event.

West Des Moines, IA - The Iowa Area Development Group (IADG), on behalf of Iowa’s rural electric cooperatives, municipal utilities and independent telecommunication companies, honored eight distinguished Iowa companies with the Iowa Venture Award, at a luncheon held in conjunction with the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives’ annual meeting at the Sheraton West Des Moines.
